April 2002 - Photo Editing
A meeting of two parts!
First we had a demonstration by one of our
members sons, of what a program such as Adobe Photoshop is capable
of in the hands of an expert.
He demonstrated just how this software can
be used to create original art as well as being used to repair a
damaged photograph. Watching an expert at work just demonstrated
what can be achieved with skill, time and patience.
Following that we looked at three programs
that are available to the budding photo editor on a budget: Photoshop
Elements, PhotoImpact and The GIMP. Outline reviews of these packages
are available on the reviews pages.
